Pahadi Lal Mirch Powder
Product details
Almora Organic Pahadi Lal Mirch Powder
Farm-Grown | Sun-Dried | Sil Batta Ground
Grown on our organic farm in the hills of Almora, Uttarakhand, our Pahadi Lal Mirch is cultivated using traditional, chemical-free farming practices and harvested in small batches.
The chillies are naturally sun-dried in the mountain air and then hand-ground on a traditional sil batta, preserving their natural oils, vibrant colour, and deep aroma.
Unlike commercially processed chilli powders that are machine-milled at high speeds, our sil batta grinding method is slow and gentle — helping retain flavour integrity without overheating the spice.
This is not artificially coloured chilli powder. Its rich red hue comes purely from the quality of the chillies and the soil they were grown in.
Our Sil Batta Tradition
Our spices are ground using a traditional sil batta — a stone slab and roller used in Indian kitchens for generations.
This slow, manual method generates minimal heat compared to industrial machines, helping preserve the natural aroma, colour, and character of the spice.
It takes more effort, but the result is a chilli powder that feels alive, aromatic, and deeply rooted in tradition.
